How is the Portuguese territory organised?

Portugal's administrative division operates on multiple levels. First, it is divided into districts and regions. Second, each district is subdivided into municipalities ("Concelhos"), governed by a City/Town Council. Third, municipalities are divided into parishes, with the Parish Council representing local governance.

What about Fundão?

Fundão, located in the district of Castelo Branco, falls within the Central Region (NUT II) and Cova da Beira (NUT III). Covering an area of 700.4 km2, Fundão comprises 31 parishes. The Fundão Town Council and the Union of Parish Councils of Fundão oversee governance in Fundão.

1. Everyone has the right, for themselves and their family, to housing of an adequate size in hygienic and comfortable conditions that preserve personal intimacy and family privacy.

In some circumstances, arranging services such as water, gas, electricity, and telecommunications is essential when renting or purchasing a property.

Water

Aquaafundalia - Águas do Fundão S.A. manages and operates water distribution systems and effluent collection in the Municipality of Fundão.

Electricity and Gas

The Energy Services Regulatory Entity (ERSE) provides a simulator to compare electricity and natural gas offers and conditions for consumers in Portugal.

Telecommunications

Several companies offer telecommunications services, including MEO, NOS and Vodafone.
