This space is committed to assisting migrants by providing information about the reception and integration process. It leverages relevant data from the National Immigrant Information System. It results from a partnership between the Municipality of Fundão and the High Commission for Migrations through the Social Action Department. The office is located in Fundão and was established in January 2006. A dedicated technician offers services, including distributing informative leaflets summarizing essential aspects such as Immigration Law, Portuguese Nationality Law, Family Reunification, Voluntary Return, Access to Healthcare, Education, and more. During the opening hours, this public service operates in the former Casino Fundanense in Praça do Município.

"On Wheels" Migration Centre

The "On Wheels" Migration Centre aims to provide technical and mediation services to support migrants within the municipality across various areas, including regularization, nationality, family reunification, housing, voluntary return, employment, healthcare, and education.

The "On Wheels" Migration Centre is the outcome of the application of the Municipality of Fundão for funding from the Fund for Asylum, Migration, and Integration (FAMI). This service operates throughout the municipality's parishes, bringing essential services closer to the migrant population to aid in their integration process. The project includes a team of three mediators who enhance and coordinate communication between the service and the migrant community, ensuring effective and appropriate responses. It aims to provide proximity support to migrants across the municipality in bureaucratic processes, accommodation, education, training, employment, and healthcare, thus promoting inclusive and participatory citizenship. Additionally, the project seeks to establish connections between migrant communities and municipal services through proximity support and mediator involvement.
