Fundão's Good Practices distinguished by URBACT Programme

The Municipality of Fundão has been recognized by the URBACT program with the URBACT Good Practice label for the period 2024–2025, for the projects “Craft Lab: Enhancing Crafts with Digital Manufacturing Technologies”, “Friendly City of Investment and Innovation”, and “Capacity Building for Third-Country Nationals.”

According to Paulo Fernandes, Mayor of the Municipality of Fundão, “these distinctions strengthen Fundão’s commitment to smart, integrated, and participatory urban practices, which have a positive impact on citizens’ quality of life and the attractiveness of the region. They also acknowledge the Municipality of Fundão’s ongoing dedication to developing innovative urban policies that combine local tradition with technological innovation and inclusive development.”
