Visit of Czech organization to migrant integration support services in Fundão


During the days of November 4th to 6th, within the scope of an Erasmus+ job-shadowing project that supports the mobility of students, teachers and other professionals in the areas of education, training, youth and sport for an experience abroad, a visit took place in the Municipality of Fundão by technicians from the Moravia-Silesia Employment Pact of the Czech Republic.

One of the representatives belongs to MS PAKT, a non-profit organization that works in areas such as career guidance, cooperation between schools and companies and labor market analysis, targeting students, teachers, private companies and migrants. The other representative is part of the Ostrava Expat Centre, a free public service that offers information and support to foreigners in Ostrava, being funded by the City of Ostrava and the Moravia-Silesia Region, acting in the public interest.

The activities were also programmed with special consideration for the areas of interest of the professionals, which were the promotion of integration and the labor area. The main objective of these three days was to learn about projects and best practices in the area of ​​migration, labor integration, and institutional cooperation in the Municipality of Fundão. The program included visits to the Center for Migration, the FAB LAB, Twintex, the Fundão School Group, and the CLAIM office, as well as meetings with technicians, mediators, and those responsible for various services dedicated to the integration of the foreign population in the region. The plan also included opportunities for sharing experiences, working meetings, and the possibility of attending a Portuguese class for migrants.
