Fundão MEDEIA gets 2nd Place in the Manuel António da Mota Award
The Municipality of Fundão was awarded second place in the Manuel António da Mota Awards, in a ceremony that took place on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at the Alfândega do Porto Congress Center. The Municipality had reached the 10 finalists due to the work carried out in the context of the Fundão MEDEIA project, which created the Municipal Network of Intercultural Mediators and promoted integration activities for migrants and refugees in social fields such as Education, Employment and Professional Training and Culture. This distinction also implied the granting of a monetary award of €25,000 to the Municipality.
The Manuel António da Mota Award was created in 2010 by the Manuel António da Mota Foundation with the aim of annually recognizing organizations that stand out in the Foundation's various fields of activity.
