Release of the 8th Episode of the Podcast “Conversas a Propósito”
The eighth episode of the podcast “Conversas a Propósito” is now available. This 10-episode series of 10-minute segments addresses essential topics such as health, education, employment, culture and, above all, shares real testimonies from migrants and refugees.
This eighth episode, divided into four parts, explores the theme of culture and interculturality, drawing on the testimonies of four cultural agents to analyse and discuss the participation of migrants in local cultural life. The four contributors are:
José Alexandre Barata, director of the Fundão-based theatre company ESTE – Estação Teatral;
Cláudia Pereira, vice-president of the Rancho Folclórico de Silvares and President of the Parish Council of Silvares;
Miguel Newton, member of the recently created association “Fatela Sónica”;
Tahís de Melo, originally from Brazil and residing in the municipality of Fundão, who is also part of the artistic direction of the association “Camisola Preta”.
The “Conversas a Propósito” podcast is produced by the Municipality of Fundão in partnership with Rádio Cova da Beira and Incubadora de Música, within the scope of the WELDI – URBACT project, co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, which promotes human rights and the right to the city for all residents, regardless of nationality or residence status.
